Alex Haley

Haley was born in Ithaca, New York, on August 11, 1921. He is older then 3 brothers and a sister. Haley lived with his family in Henning, beforehand he re moody to Ithaca with his family when he was five eld old. He was the first Chief Journalist in the Coast Guard, the rating having been expressly created for him in recognition of his literary ability.
